Weight Loss Tricks – Truthfully There Are No Tricks

We live in a time when many of us are looking for an “angle” in pretty much everything we do. We seem to think that there is always some sort of trick that can make a tough task easier. If you want to know some useful weight loss tricks I have put together this article for just that purpose.

 

 

I do want to make it clear that when I say weight loss tricks I’m not talking about things that will help you lose weight without having to do anything or make any changes. I am talking about some things that can help you accelerate your success.

One thing you do need to take care of first is to talk to your doctor. If you have any underlying health issues make sure that you ask your doctor for recommendations on diet and exercise plans also ask what, if any, restrictions you may have.

So, what tricks can you use to help speed up your weight loss and get more results more quickly? Well, here you go:

1. Start your weight loss off on the right foot.

Make sure that you understand that losing weight will take time…. period. You will not lose 20 or more pounds of body fat in just a few days and you won’t keep it off when you lose it unless you make permanent changes to your diet and exercise habits.

But, that does not mean that you can’t lose up to 10 lbs. very quickly with a fast or a cleanse. While most of this weight loss will be water weight, it can still be a good way to flush toxins from your system and it can make you more psychologically prepared for the weight loss changes.

Bottom line, doing either a fast or a cleanse won’t be the way you will lose 20 lbs. or more, but it may be a good way to get some quick weight loss and help you get even more motivated to lose weight and get in better shape.

2.  Drink water.

I know you hear that all the time but are you drinking more water, enough water? If this is one of those tips that have gone in one ear and out the other, knock it off.

Pay attention. Your body needs water. If you don’t keep it hydrated your whole body and all it’s functions will be impacted in a bad way.

Water will not only keep your body hydrated  but it can keep toxins flushed which will help too. Also, drinking plenty of water will make your feel much more full much more quickly.

That means that if you drink a glass of water before a meal, you will probably  eat less since the water will fill you up. Just another benefit of drinking plenty of water.

3. Eat more fruits and vegetables.

This is another tip you have probably heard and ignored too but you need to listen to it.

Just by adding some fruits and vegetables to your daily diet you can keep your body nourished but another benefit is that you will fill up more quickly.

That means you will get less calories from other less nutritious foods.

There you go, some great weight loss tricks. It may sound easy, but you don’t need to make it harder than it has to be. Use these tricks and you will see results.

Obesity and being overweight is a growing epidemic, so it’s no wonder that so many people are looking for ways to slim down. You’re reading this, so let’s assume that you would like to know how to lose some weight and feel less bloated at the same time. Discovering how to avoid water weight gain will help you shed some extra pounds, but you also need to go about it the right way.

A word of warning is in order before we get started: You must always check with your doctor before making any changes to your diet. Additionally, check with your doctor if you have any symptoms including (but not limited to): swelling, or sudden weight gain or loss. The information in this article shouldn’t be followed unless your doctor says it’s okay. However, you can use this information as a conversation starter with your doctor.

The first thing you need to do is get an idea if your body is retaining more water than it should. If your skin feels taut in any part of your body, but especially your legs, arms, ankles and abdomen, then that’s a potential sign of swelling which can be caused by water retention. Also, look to see if there is any noticeable swelling. Sometimes it will be obvious, and other times it won’t, but you need to do your best to make sure that water retention is what’s causing your weight gain.

What may surprise you is that you may be retaining water because you aren’t staying properly hydrated. A lot of people will actually stop drinking water and try to limit their fluid intake if they believe they are retaining water. That only makes the problem worse because the body will do its best to store every precious drop it gets. It is vital to your health that you stay properly hydrated at all times.

Instead of decreasing how much water you drink, you should try to reduce your sodium intake. This is one of the “secrets” of how to avoid water weight gain. If you are healthy and your doctor says it’s okay for you to do so, then cut out as much sodium from your diet as you can. Your doctor can tell you what the safe amount for you is.

While you should try to limit sodium intake, you should also try to make sure you are getting enough potassium and calcium. These nutrients help to regulate how your body processes water, and a deficiency can throw that system out of whack.

Some people have found that eating melon causes them to retain water. Everybody is different, so this tip may not work for you, but it is definitely worth trying if it can help.

Diuretics help the body to get rid of excess water, but they should only be used if approved by your doctor. There are over-the-counter diuretics, and some beverages also have diuretic properties. Giving you another potential method of how to avoid water weight gain.

Will You Quit This New Year 2015?

Another year has passed us by. Although many of us have new plans for 2015 such as losing weight, staying fit and getting stronger this can definitely be a task at hand and is always easier said than done!

As an impatient society of instant gratification we must understand that proper planning and accountability will always impact our results in reaching our own personal health and fitness goal(s). The old cliche of “proper diet and exercise” still remains and will always remain just as the law of gravity and science of anatomy always will. 80% nutrition and 20% exercise is key.
